I was one of the lucky ones who met Col James. I was even luckier because I got to paint his portrait!
This man was a wonderful architect, teacher and visionary. He was also a keen fighter for social justice and did much to improve the housing for aboriginals in Redfern and elsewhere.
I grieve the passing of this wonderful man.
